Hey - I'm Bryant.

I'm an Air Quality Specialist at the South Coast Air Quality Management District in the Community Engagement and Air Programs Division. My primary responsibilities are to help with emission reduction projects in communities most overburdened by air pollution in southern California.

I received a Ph.D. in Earth System Science from the University of California, Irvine, and a B.S. in Earth Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. During my Ph.D., I specialized in creating past climate records using cave deposits known as stalagmites. I also gained experience in applying community-based participatory research methods to collaborate with communities both internationally in Mexico and locally in California.

As a proud Filipino-American, first-generation scholar, I care deeply about fostering local partnerships to develop meaningful, place-based solutions for environmental justice.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find me running, climbing, surfing, or shooting photography. If any of this resonates with you or you'd like to connect, don't hesitate to reach out!
